When working with a live edge slab I leave most of it undisturbed in order to preserve its natural beauty. The structure that raises the slab is designed to do exactly that as well - elevate without distraction. This aromatic cedar slab sits on a cantilevered base, while the walnut and rosewood veneer complement the tone of the cedar without visual interference. I chose walnut veneer on the edges of the base to mimic the bark of the slab, and rosewood on the faces to mirror the warmth and character of the cedar top.
